During this seminar, you'll learn about five components that are crucial to your organization's stability before, during and after a sentinel event.

Record Retention: Develop a plan to track and protect legal documents, including emails and internal communications for sentinel events and adhering to record retention laws.
Record Protection: Who gets access to records and how to maintain confidentiality.
Record Reporting: Who do you need to report to, ie., family physician, medical director, family, State, insurance, etc.
Managing the Media: What to do when you have had an incident, who is responsible for talking with the media and how do you manage the message that is sent.
Incident Investigation: How to get to the root cause of an incident.
