Health Care Reform Bills Contain Numerous Tax Changes

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (H.R. 3590), which President Obama signed today, and the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act (H.R. 4872), also passed by the House and which the Senate will consider shortly, include a series of new taxes and fees on individuals and businesses, as well as tax credits designed to help ensure nearly universal health insurance coverage.
