Get to Know Ted

Ted Hayes is a senior risk manager at M3 Insurance. Specializing in property and casualty exposures, he consults with M3’s business, school district and municipality clients to develop safety programs and risk management strategies. His areas of focus include manufacturing, schools, construction, and behavioral safety.

As a safety and security consultant with over three decades of experience, Hayes is vigilant about asking tough questions and tracking the dangers of our ever-changing culture. He believes the key to keeping our schools and organizations safe lies in proactive action plans and in recognizing, reducing, and eliminating injury exposures and security threats— before bad things happen.

  • Earned Bachelor of Arts in occupational safety from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
  • Masters of Science in Education (MSE) and ergonomics
  • 24 years industry experience as a safety consultant with Wausau Insurance Companies
  • Joined M3 in 2009
