23 of 50: Easter Seals Wisconsin & Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin

Disability does not mean defeat. That’s important to grasp, especially when you realize how likely it is that at some point in life disability will directly affect you or someone close to you. For nearly a century, Easter Seals Wisconsin and Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin have played an integral role in helping people with disabilities not only receive crucial care services but also empower them to more fully experience – and enjoy – what life has to offer.

Through their local services, programs, and advocacy, Easter Seals Wisconsin and Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin provide everything from recreational opportunities and housing support to long-term care management and vocational rehabilitation. Their efforts help thousands of residents live better lives – lives with more freedom, better access, and greater inclusion.

Creating Life-Changing Opportunities

M3 supports Easterseals in a variety of ways because of the valuable work they do in our communities. For example, through its Project Search program, Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin helps adults with disabilities receive valuable on-the-job training from local businesses; while Easter Seals Wisconsin FARM Program has helped thousands of farmers with disabilities continue in agriculture, enjoying independence and supporting themselves and their families.

M3’s Dale Van Dam has served on Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin board and is currently part of its board governance. “We’re proud to be able to support an organization that helps those with disabilities transition into the workforce, giving them a chance to contribute to our communities,” says Dale.

M3’s Pat LeMire also serves as a volunteer and a board member for Easter Seals Wisconsin. “I have a close family member on the autism spectrum, and I have had the chance to see up close and personal the way Easter Seals provides programs and services in the community,” says Pat.

“I’m proud to be associated with Easter Seals Wisconsin,” Pat says, “because I believe in their mission and in the value of the programs they offer. I know that my time, energy, and financial support are helping to keep valuable programs available to people. Knowing the kind of impact that this organization has on so many Wisconsin families has made it an easy decision to become actively involved with it.”

“M3 is not only a trusted advisor for our insurance needs, but they support our efforts in the community as well. Pat LeMire also serves as an active member of our board, the Chair of our Governance Committee and as a volunteer fundraiser for our annual campaign. We appreciate Pat for his commitment and are grateful for the strong partnership we have with M3.”
