35 of 50: Family Service

Since 1964 Family Service has been providing counseling services, as well as education and advocacy, for people in Waukesha County. The organization places an emphasis on mental and emotional well-being as the foundation for healthy individuals and families—and strong communities.

The C.A.R.E Center (Child Advocacy Resources and Empowerment) within Family Service specializes in helping children and teens suspected of being abused or neglected. It coordinates the investigation and intervention services while maintaining a child-focused approach. That means no matter the circumstances the comfort, safety, and security of the child are paramount during the evaluation process.

A compassionate environment, an effective model

The C.A.R.E Center provides services from “The Big Yellow House,” an aptly named, non-threatening building in downtown Waukesha where people are working hard every day to serve and protect at-risk children. M3 proudly supports The C.A.R.E Center through corporate donations and participation in fundraising events.

In fact, M3’s Matt Boray served on Family Service’s board of directors for seven years, including a year as president. Today he continues to serve on the Advisory Council for Family Service. “Most of us either have kids or know someone with children, and the last thing we want is for abuse of any sort to happen to them. But if the unfortunate does occur, it’s reassuring to know there are special places like The C.A.R.E. Center,” says Matt.

We greatly value and appreciate our partnership with M3 Insurance. Through M3’s Community Impact program, we have received event support and corporate grants to benefit The C.A.R.E. Center. Their spirit of giving back to the community makes a tremendous difference in what we can accomplish.
