45 of 50: American Red Cross of Wisconsin, Southwest Chapter

45 of 50: 50 Years LogoMost people probably don’t realize just how much the Red Cross does every day, not just in our communities but around the world. Every eight minutes, the organization responds to a disaster and brings hope to people who need it most. But that’s just the beginning. The Red Cross provides blood services, first aid courses, disaster preparation education, special support to military members and their families, and numerous other services all done with the mission to alleviate human suffering.

The right thing to do: supporting the Red Cross

The American Red Cross is an extraordinary organization that embodies the values that we at M3 feel strongly about: getting involved in communities and making them better places to live, giving time and resources generously, and working tirelessly to help others because it’s simply the right thing to do.

Through corporate donations, various fundraising efforts, and blood drives, M3 supports the Red Cross. M3’s Mike Moore has served on the Wisconsin Red Cross Southwest Chapter board for many years and is a passionate advocate. “Having served in the military, I was very familiar with the support the Red Cross provides to those who serve and to their families. Being involved with the Red Cross is a way for me to connect my past with what I do —and support—now,” says Mike.

“I am constantly amazed at the strength the Red Cross has in terms of volunteerism,” Mike says. The Red Cross is a privately funded, worldwide organization that receives no federal funds, and relies on volunteers to come together and help in any way they can. Volunteers will leave their homes for days, weeks, and even months to help others in need. They are not getting paid. They are just being good humans, and that fact is a big part of what makes this such a unique and vital organization.”

The Red Cross values the special partnership we have with M3 Insurance. Your support of our Service to the Armed Forces programs, our Home Smoke Alarm Install programs, and your recent support for our response to the historic Wisconsin floods and storms is truly invaluable. Thank you for helping the Red Cross provide hope to those we serve each and every day.
