DOT Rules Simplified

Property & Casualty

Did you know that the latest DOT rules may affect you even if you’re not a large trucking operation?

If you are constructing buildings, manufacturing products, or providing services, you may have commercial driving operations that aren’t even on your radar. Whether you have one truck or several dozen, the DOT rules that you must adhere to are often the same as the largest trucking operations in the country.

Any vehicle used in business that is 10,001 lbs. GVWR as a standalone vehicle or in combination with a trailer (even including a pick-up truck with a trailer) that operates in Wisconsin is a commercial trucking operation in the eyes of the DOT and DOT rules apply.

Watch this webinar recording as Robert Tenhagen, Senior Risk Manager with M3 Insurance, disseminates the requirements of Intrastate versus Interstate rules, as well as the rules for commercial non-CDL vehicles (10,001 lbs. GVWR to 26,000 lbs. GVWR) and CDL vehicles (26,001 lbs. GVWR and higher).
