Matt Mekemson is a senior client executive with M3 Elevate, focused on helping clients navigate risk with practical, experience-driven guidance. With more than 25 years in the industry, Matt brings a deep understanding of insurance and a passion for helping people through challenging situations.
Matt’s career began in small business banking before being introduced to the insurance industry, where he quickly found his fit. Today, he enjoys working closely with clients—especially in the construction and real estate space—consulting on what they truly need and, just as importantly, what they don’t.
He takes pride in helping clients through difficult moments, ensuring their coverage responds as intended and helps protect their financial stability. For Matt, the most meaningful part of his work is seeing that impact firsthand and building trust through honest, consultative relationships.
Matt holds his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, which he has maintained for over 20 years, and is committed to continuous learning and mentoring others in the industry.
He approaches every client relationship with a consultative mindset, focused on finding the right solutions—whether that involves insurance or alternative ways to manage risk.

Outside of Work
Matt and his wife, Leah, stay busy with their four teenage kids and two Labrador retrievers. In the summer, you’ll likely find them up north in Wisconsin enjoying time on the water, hunting, and spending time with friends and family. They’re also die-hard Detroit Lions fans.
