Insurance is not a “glamorous” career choice. You don’t hear many little kids say, “I want to work in insurance when I grow up.” They usually say something like, “I want to be a …firefighter …nurse …teacher …construction worker …truck driver …chef …[or, well, just about anything else].” You don’t see many crayon drawings of suits and ties and policy binders. If only they knew, though. If only they understood. Then they would be psyched to work in insurance – as I am. Because here’s the thing – we get to be part of all those industries (and more). We get to do all that cool stuff: we get to educate; we get to help people become healthier; we get to put out fires.
I love insurance.
I love insurance for so many reasons that I can’t even list them all here. It is going to take several ‘takes’ to give you my take on this. But I am going to do that, because I believe it’s important. Here is a hint of what’s to come…
This is M3’s Strategy Map. It guides our work, it reinforces our purpose, and it’s no accident that it ties so closely to my – no, to our – passion for this industry. Stay tuned, more to come…
