1. Compensation
The concern I hear most frequently from candidates is about their fear of starting over– a new company, a new industry, and no book of business. Stop worrying – we’ve got you covered. Although you may have to build a book of business from the ground floor, we understand that commercial insurance has a long sales cycle and it will take a while for you to get established. We won’t make you start from scratch from a compensation perspective. While we can’t guarantee we will match you current compensation with a hefty base, we will try to make sure you don’t go from feeding your family surf-and-turf to ramen just so you can make a career change.
Also, if you haven’t heard, we pay renewal commissions. Gone will be the days of starting over at the beginning of a new year. If you keep your clients happy, you get paid for it– year after year after year.
